The Rat is on vacation!

Hi to all my fifth grade pals reading with Mrs. McLaughlin! I’ve been getting tired paws lately (jumping all over the keyboard is quite a workout), so I thought, hey, why not go surfing? We rodents happen to be excellent swimmers!
So I got myself some trendy new swim trunks, picked up a mini surfboard, scampered on down to the ocean, and here I am–I’m doing it! I’m doing it! I’m really surfing, at last, at lassssssssss– AIIIIIIIEEEEEEEE!!!!!!
(Splash! Thunk! Glug glug glug gluggggg. Gasp, cough, choke, wheeze, spit up water. Sniffle. Shake water out of ears. Blow ratty nose. Get back up. )
Okay, here I go again. I’m not going to let a little water beat me. (Well, okay, maybe it’s a LOT of water, but I’m still not going to let it beat me.)
Anyway, look at me now! I’m getting the hang of it at last! Hey, I think I was born to do this! Yeah, baby!!!
Another great thing about a surfing vacation is, NO CATS. (They just don’t seem to like the water. And I’ve never yet seen a cat who could surf.)
Well, I had such a great time blogging with all of you, but now I must bid you a sweet rodent farewell… how you brightened my gloomy, ratty days! Take care, be kind to any rodents you meet, and do yourselves a favor– WATCH OUT FOR CATS!!

I’m so sad I have to go!! well I hope you are having a fun time on your vacation! that’s great that you haven’t seen a cat on the beach or whatever. well I have 2 kittens. they are pretty sassy…😒 whatever. they are very cuddly though. hey ratty we will miss you ratty don’t leaves but also did you try hot cocoa and marshmallow with peanut butter cups anyway you were funny with ratastic jokes plz don’t leave us ratty I will remember you ratty in my heart and in my memories there is space for you and for when I’m adult ratty enjoy your week on vacation:)
